Your Questions, Answered

  • South Shore Family Guidance helps families navigate the process of finding the right mental health support for their children and adolescents. Rather than providing therapy directly, we work with parents to understand their child’s needs, identify appropriate therapists and specialists, and connect families with school supports and trusted community resources. Our goal is to simplify the process of finding the right help and reduce the stress families often experience when trying to locate care.

  • Getting started begins with a consultation where we learn about your child, your concerns, and the type of support you are seeking. During this conversation we explore your child’s needs, discuss possible types of support, and begin identifying therapists or resources that may be a good fit. After the consultation, we provide guidance and recommendations to help you move forward with confidence.

  • Many parents struggle to find therapists who specialize in their child’s challenges and who also have availability. South Shore Family Guidance focuses on helping families navigate this process. Because we understand the local mental health landscape, we help parents identify therapists with relevant expertise, understand school-based supports, and connect with trusted resources across the South Shore. Our role is to guide families through the system so they can access the right help more quickly and with less frustration.
